Android development Studio

https://developer.android.com/studio/index.html

you can install the 3.0 beta preview https://developer.android.com/studio/preview/install-preview.html

Installation is straightforward, the only caveat is that you have to grant admin rights to install the accelerator:

https://software.intel.com/android/articles/installation-instructions-for-intel-hardware-accelerated-execution-manager-windows

if you don't install it immediately, you can install it later when you create your first virtual device.
This qemu-system-i386.exe seems to eat a lot of CPU - I hear that Genymotion is far more efficient.

I create a "google maps" application pierre.org.pv01, request a key here https://console.developers.google.com/flows/enableapi?apiid=maps_android_backend&keyType=CLIENT_SIDE_ANDROID&r=FF:6B:44:E5:7A:85:86:80:74:56:50:52:06:4C:0B:F8:EA:AD:90:5A%3Bpierre.org.pv01

I choose as Android Emulator the Nexus_5X but it seems dramatically slow... it's asking me to update Google Play services...

To deploy to a Samsung http://developer.samsung.com/galaxy/getting-started I install the Samsung SDK in my Android Studio
